…RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 9 PM MDT TUESDAY FOR
GUSTY WINDS…LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITIES AND WIDELY SCATTERED DRY
THUNDERSTORMS FOR THE MOUNTAINS…MOUNTAIN VALLEYS AND NORTHERN

.DISCUSSION…TONIGHT AND TUESDAY…AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE WILL
CONTINUE TO BRING HOT AND DRY CONDITIONS THROUGH TUESDAY. ENOUGH
MOISTURE WILL BE AVAILABLE TUESDAY AFTERNOON FOR A FEW HIGH BASED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS…ANY RAINFALL WILL BE LIGHT. GUSTY WINDS
WILL LIKELY ACCOMPANY ANY SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM. IT WILL ALSO BE
BREEZY OVER THE HIGH COUNTRY NORTH OF INTERSTATE 70 TUESDAY WHICH
HAS PROMPTED THE ISSUANCE OF A RED FLAG WARNING.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION…TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY…A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE TUESDAY EVENING…MAINLY ACROSS THE
MOUNTAINS. IF THE STORMS DEVELOP…THEY WILL PRODUCE GUSTY WINDS AND
LIGHTNING BUT LITTLE RAINFALL. OTHERWISE…WINDS WILL BE ON THE
DECREASE WITH SKIES CLEARING. ON WEDNESDAY…HIGH PRESSURE WILL
REMAIN ACROSS THE AREA WITH VERY WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS CONTINUING.
THERE WILL BE ENOUGH MOISTURE FOR A SLIGHT CHANCE OF AFTERNOON
THUNDERSTORMS. GUSTY WINDS AND LIGHTNING CAN BE EXPECTED WITH THE
STORMS BUT ONLY LIGHT RAINFALL. WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH SATURDAY WITH ONLY SLIGHT CHANCE OF LATE DAY
THUNDERSTORMS THURSDAY AND AGAIN FRIDAY.
